Effective July 12, 2026 · Applies to the Lucent iOS/iPadOS app
In one sentence: Lucent is designed as an on-device camera — it has no account system, no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no tracking, and no developer-operated upload service. We do not collect your data.
Lucent processes camera frames and, when you allow microphone access, audio on your device to create captures and live monitoring (histograms, waveforms, audio meters, guidance). Lucent does not transmit those camera or microphone streams to the developer or to any third party.
Original masters and JSON metadata sidecars are stored in Lucent’s Documents folder on your device, or in an external folder you explicitly select. iOS File Sharing can make the app’s Documents folder available through the Files app or a connected computer — that is a system feature under your control.
A capture leaves its storage location only when you choose a system share, export, or Save to Photos action. Photos library access is add-only and is used only for items you explicitly save. Deleting a master in Lucent permanently removes the media file and its metadata sidecars from that location.
Apple processes all subscription purchases. Lucent verifies subscription entitlement status on device (via Apple and RevenueCat’s entitlement service) to unlock Pro features. The developer never receives your payment-card details. Purchase receipts are validated by Apple; RevenueCat processes an anonymous app-generated identifier and purchase state solely to keep your Pro access in sync — see RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
You can revoke camera, microphone, or Photos add-only access in iOS Settings at any time. You can choose local or external storage, share or save only the files you select, and delete captures from Lucent Media inside the app.
If a future version of Lucent changes any of the practices above, this page and the in-app policy will be updated before that version ships, with a new effective date.
For privacy questions, use the App Support contact shown on Lucent’s App Store product page, or the support page.
