# FocusRoad — Privacy Policy

Welcome to **FocusRoad** ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"). FocusRoad is developed by **Fırat Onurcan Polat** as an individual developer. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

## 1. Information We Collect
To provide and improve the functionality of FocusRoad, we may collect and process the following types of information:
- **Account Information:** If you create an account, we collect the email address provided and a unique user ID assigned by **Firebase Authentication**. If you use Sign in with Apple, we collect the authentication information provided by Apple (name and email if you permit it; you may also choose to hide your email via Apple's Private Email Relay).
- **User-Generated Content:**
- **Focus & Journey Data:** Your focus sessions (duration, category such as Work, Reading, Study, etc.), virtual journeys and routes, streaks, achievements, total distance and time, and the virtual cities/countries you reach within the app.
- **Profile:** An optional display name you set.
- *This data is stored on your device and, when you sign in, securely synced through our **Firebase Firestore** servers to keep your progress consistent across devices.*
- **Push Notification Token:** If you enable notifications, we collect a device push token via **Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)** so we can send reminders (for example, streak reminders and journey updates). You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
- **Subscription Information:** Premium features ("Road Pass") are sold and managed through the **Apple App Store** using Apple's StoreKit. Payment is processed exclusively by Apple; **we do not collect or store your payment or credit card information.**
> **Note on location:** FocusRoad does **not** access your real-world GPS location. The cities and countries shown in the app are part of virtual journeys and do not reflect your physical location.

## 2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the core focus experience (running focus sessions, advancing your journey, tracking distance and duration).
- Track your streaks, achievements, and progress, and sync them across your devices via your account.
- Send optional reminders and notifications you have enabled.
- Manage your subscription status and access to premium features.
**We do not sell your personal information to third parties.**

## 3. Disclosure of Your Information
We only share data with service providers essential to the app's operation:
- **Firebase (Google):** For user authentication, cloud storage/sync of your focus and journey data (Firestore), and push notifications (Cloud Messaging).
- **Apple:** For Sign in with Apple and for processing and validating your subscription purchases.
- **Legal/Business:** Only if required by law or in the event of a business merger or sale.

We use secure infrastructure (Firebase) to protect your data. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from within the app, your associated personal data will be removed from our active systems within **30–90 days**.
