Welcome to Traveler (published on the App Store as “Travel Planner: Trip Guidebook”; “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The App is developed by Fırat Onurcan Polat as an individual developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

• Identifiers and account information. You can use the App without creating an account: when you start, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous user ID for you. If you create an account or sign in, we store the email address you provide and, with Sign in with Apple, the name and email Apple shares with us (this may be a private relay address). We also store a push-notification token for your device and your app language and time zone, so reminders arrive in your language at the right local time.
• Trip content you create. Destinations and routes, dates, itineraries and stops, notes and ideas, budgets and expenses, packing and shopping lists, polls, and trips you share with other people. This content is stored in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore so it syncs across your devices and with the members of a shared trip.
• Imported content. When you share a link into the App (for example from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, a web page or a Google/Apple Maps link), we store the link and our servers fetch the page’s public title, description and text to suggest places. Screenshots you import are read on your device with Apple’s text recognition; only the recognized text is sent to our servers, never the image.
• Travel documents. Documents and photos you add under Trip Documents are encrypted and stored on your device only. They are not uploaded to our servers.
• Support requests. If you contact us from the App, we receive your message, the email address you enter, and your app version, iOS version and language.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. Our subscription provider RevenueCat receives your app user ID and your purchase and subscription status. We never receive your payment card details.
• Usage and diagnostics. Firebase Analytics records how features are used (linked to your user ID). You can turn analytics off in Settings; it is off by default in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports, which are not linked to your identity. Firebase App Check uses Apple App Attest/DeviceCheck to confirm that requests come from the genuine App.
• Location. If you allow it, your location is shown on the in-app map only. It is not sent to or stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the App: create, edit, sync and share trips; locate places (with Apple MapKit on your device); show weather for your trip’s city; and create PDF exports and read-only links when you ask for them.
• To generate and edit itineraries, packing lists and place suggestions with AI.
• To send trip reminders and other notifications you have allowed.
• To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
• To answer support requests.
• To keep the App secure and reliable: preventing abuse (for example rate limits and App Check), fixing crashes and, if analytics is on, understanding which features are used.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for tracking or for targeted advertising.
