Feng Shui Assistant is an iOS app that analyzes photos of your rooms with AI to give Feng Shui suggestions, calculates your personal Kua number, and offers a Feng Shui compass, calendar and reference tools. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. Questions: [email protected].

The short version

• No sign-up is required: the app signs you in with an anonymous account automatically. Creating an account with an email and password (via Supabase Auth) is optional and lets you keep your profile and analysis history across devices.
• Room photos you choose to analyze are sent to OpenAI’s vision model to generate a Feng Shui report, and are stored so you can review your past analyses and track your progress.
• Crystal/gemstone photos are sent to OpenAI for identification but are not stored on our servers.
• The compass reads your device’s magnetometer (heading) only on your device. The app does not request or collect your location.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell data.

What we process

• Account — a random anonymous user ID created automatically when you first open the app and, only if you choose to create an account, your email and password (via Supabase Auth). Used to keep your data tied to you.
• Profile — birth year, gender, Kua number and element, stored on our servers (Supabase) to personalize recommendations.
• Room photos and analysis results — the photo you choose is uploaded to our storage and the AI’s analysis (score, suggestions) is saved, so you can view your history and progress over time. Kept until you delete the analysis or your account.
• Crystal/gemstone photos — processed by OpenAI in real time to identify the item; not stored by us.
• Compass heading — read from the magnetometer on your device to orient the Feng Shui compass. Never transmitted to our servers. The app does not use your location.
• Usage counters — how many free compass and ritual uses you have left, stored only on your device.
• Purchase information — handled by Apple and RevenueCat to unlock and restore your subscription; we do not see your payment details.

We do not collect your contacts, photos beyond what you choose to submit for analysis, or advertising identifiers. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.

Third parties

• OpenAI — analyzes your room and crystal photos to generate Feng Shui reports and identifications, under OpenAI’s API data usage policies (API data is not used to train OpenAI’s models).
• Supabase (Auth, Postgres database, Storage, Edge Functions; hosted in the Northeast Asia / Tokyo region) — our backend for accounts, profiles, room analyses and data storage.
